Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What exactly are your candles and wax melts made from?

We use Kera soy wax – a natural, vegetable‑based soy wax grown and produced in the UK: no paraffin, no palm, no blends. Our fragrance oils are premium grade, phthalate‑free, and chosen for a clean, strong throw.

Is your wax genuinely natural and safe?

Yes – it's plant‑based, biodegradable, and non‑toxic.

Why does my candle have a slightly uneven top or white frosting?

That's normal for natural soy wax. It doesn't affect the burn or scent – in fact, it's a sign there's no filler or hardener. Think of it as proof it's real soy.

How do I get the best scent throw from my candle or wax melt?

  • Candle: Burn for at least 2‑3 hours on first use so the wax melts evenly across the whole surface. Trim the wick to 5mm before each light.
  • Wax melt: Use 1‑2 cubes in a tealight or electric warmer. Soy wax holds scent longer but releases it gently – give it 10‑15 minutes to fill the room.

How long will a candle or wax melt last?

  • Our Candle( 220ml) :  42-45 hours (approx)
  • Wax melt (single cube): 8‑12 hours of fragrance, depending on your warmer.

Do you ship across the UK? What about delivery times?

Yes, we ship to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Standard shipping takes 2‑4 working days.

My wax melt arrived a little soft – is it faulty?

No. Soy wax is softer than paraffin, especially in warm weather. If it feels sticky or sweaty, pop it in the fridge for 15 minutes before using. It won't harm the scent.

Can I leave a candle burning overnight?

Please don't. Never leave a burning candle unattended or while sleeping. Keep it away from drafts, children, pets and curtains. Burn on a heat‑safe surface, and stop when only 1cm of wax remains.

Are these candles safe for pets?

While our fragrances are premium and phthalate‑free, some essential oils or strong scents can still irritate birds, cats or dogs. We always recommend good ventilation and not burning candles in a small, unventilated room with pets. If in doubt, ask your vet.

Do you offer refills or recycling?

Not yet for candles, for wax melts, you can reuse the clamshells – wash them out and pop them in soft plastic recycling (check your local council). Many customers also use empty candle jars as small plant pots or storage.

Can I use a wax melt in an oil burner (tealight warmer)?

Absolutely. Just pop 1‑2 cubes into the dish and light a standard tealight underneath. Don't add water – that's for oil burners only.

Why doesn't my soy candle smell as strong as a high street paraffin candle?

Soy wax releases fragrance more slowly and gently than paraffin. It won't scream at you, but it will last longer and smell cleaner – no black soot or chemical undertone. Give it a few burns; the scent often opens up.

Do you test on animals?

Never. Our wax and fragrance oils are cruelty‑free and vegan (except beeswax – we don't use any).
